IIABA Unveils Diversity Program
NU Online News Service, Sept. 12, 9:50 a.m. EDT?The Independent Insurance Agents & Brokers of America's Diversity Task Force will preview the launch of its pilot professional development program at the group's upcoming conference.
Alexandria, Va.-based IIABA said the task force will discuss challenges and opportunities that exist in emerging urban markets with agents and company representatives at the session.
The program will take place during a Sept. 21 luncheon during the convention and InfoXchange at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas.
Paula C. Gentile, vice president of operations and general counsel at MGM MIRAGE Risk Management, will be the keynote speaker. She will discuss the value of working with minority contractors.
All convention attendees are invited to attend the luncheon.
IIABA's Diversity Task Force is a cooperative industry group comprising of IIABA agents and brokers, several leading insurance companies, and members of organizations representing Latin American, African-American and Asian-American agents.
