Assurex Names New President, CEO
NU Online News Service, Aug. 12, 12:07 p.m. EDT?James R. Hackbarth was named president and chief executive officer of Columbus, Ohio-based insurance brokerage group Assurex Global.
The appointment was announced by Greg Collins, Assurex Global's board chairman, who is also president of Parker, Smith & Feek, Assurex Global's Seattle, Wash., partner.
Mr. Hackbarth recently served as CEO of Cornerstone Partners, a high-tech consulting and executive recruiting firm he founded in 1996. He has held executive positions with the international software company Information Dimensions, Agency Management Services, Leader Systems, Policy Management Systems and IBM, according to Assurex Global.
"With his proven ability to grow business, manage international operations and drive technology, Jim Hackbarth is ideally suited to lead Assurex Global," said Mr. Collins in a statement.
He added, "Jim Hackbarth has the management experience, business savvy and high-tech know-how necessary to help our clients manage their global risks, while helping Assurex Global Partners achieve unsurpassed growth."
