Eberhart Quits Exec Post At PIA National

NU Online News Service, July 17, 11:20 a.m. ? Gary W. Eberhart, who headed the day-to-day operations of the National Association of Professional Insurance Agents, has resigned his executive vice president's post.

In a statement released late yesterday, the Alexandria, Va.-based association's president, Carl G. Stoecklin said Mr. Eberhart resigned effective July 2, "to pursue other professional opportunities."

The association's four staff vice presidents, Patricia A. Borowski, senior vice president; Ted Besesparis, vice president of communications; Judy Armstrong, vice president of administration; and Loan Nguyen, vice president of finance, will be in charge of operations.

The association's executive committee of the board of directors "will address future executive leadership over the coming months," the statement went on to say.

Mr. Besesparis said in a telephone interview that the executive committee is currently putting together a selection process. He said he could not comment any further.
