Acordia Arm Acquires E&S Firm

NU Online News Service, July 24, 12:24 p.m. EDT - American E&S Insurance Brokers of New York Inc. has acquired RMC2, Llc., a national excess and surplus insurance broker with offices in the Chicago area and West Palm Beach, Fla.

Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

American E&S, headquartered in San Francisco, is a wholly owned wholesale broker subsidiary of Chicago-based Acordia Inc. Acordia is owned by San Francisco-based Wells Fargo company.

RMC2 has served its clients nationally since 2001. The agency's professional staff will continue serving clients from its locations in Chicago and West Palm Beach.

RMC2 handles large, complex, specialized commercial property risks in select niches including manufacturing, real estate, financial and technical industries.
