Trafalgar Buys INAMAR Marine
NU Online New Service, June 12, 3:49 p.m. EDT?Wholesale agency Trafalgar Marine Insurance services announced it has purchased the wholesale recreational marine insurance business of INAMAR Recreational Marine Insurance.
The purchased unit is the subsidiary of ACE INA in Philadelphia, INAMAR Marine Marketing Specialists.
Cary J. Breese, president of Irvine, Calif.-based Trafalgar, said the INAMAR book is valued at more than $10 million in premium, and $8 million of that premium is in yacht and boats. No sale terms were announced.
Trafalgar said that its wholesale operations serve generalists and smaller-volume marine specialist agents nationwide providing a "wide range of marine insurance products for owners of pleasure boats and marine-related businesses." The agency covers a wide variety of boats, charter boats and facilities.
