PIANH Sets Meeting

NU Online News Service, April 16, 4:19 p.m. EDT?The Professional Insurance Agents of New Hampshire said their annual meeting, set for May, is expected to address ongoing issues of concern to agents and hear some candid comments from the state's top insurance regulator.
This year's session is scheduled for May 21 at the Marriott Courtyard and Grapple Conference Center, in Concord, N.H.
The conference is offering three educational seminars in the morning entitled: "E&O Loss Prevention," "Commercial Liability: Understanding the Exclusions," and a panel discussion on "Insurance Credit Scoring: A Peek Inside the Black Box."
New Hampshire Insurance Commissioner Paula Rogers and Marty Engstrom, a humorist, are both scheduled to address a luncheon session.
"Historically, New Hampshire's commissioner Paula Rogers has been extremely candid at our annual conference," said Robert J. Wieczorek, president PIANH.
"Last year, the commissioner reported an increase in consumer calls to the department about tightening underwriting standards and she shared her inclination that more attention needed to be paid to increasing consumer inquiry on that topic.
"We are looking forward to hearing how the department has balanced the continued stabilization of the market with consumer needs."
