Baltimore Life Insurance Co. is implementing the application and underwriting components of the NaviSys Front Office system from NaviSys, Inc. The system will bring new business processes online to improve productivity by automating workflow and eliminating manual tasks. Sun Life Financial has reached an agreement with NaviSys to use the companys NaviSys Home Office to support the payout phase of the variable and fixed annuity products of Suns subsidiary, Keyport Life Insurance Company.
The Workers Compensation Fund of Salt Lake City, Utah, has signed an agreement with HNC Software, Inc., for its HNC Claims Advisor for Subrogation software. The software allows adjusters to identify claims that are the responsibility of another party.

A pair of software companies have joined forces to provide a new membership management system for the Washington State Health Care Authority. Healthaxis and Satyam Computer Services have delivered a Web-based system that offers integrated applications for membership enrollment, and eligibility determination and maintenance, among other services.
OneBeacon Insurance Group has licensed a Web-based Claim Components software application from Accenture. The custom-designed desktop component automates business processes to allow OneBeacons claims professionals to improve the claims handling process. Accenture is also developing a Web-based solution to manage the claims process via the Internet for the Chubb Group of Insurance Companies. Finally, Accenture has teamed up with Kemper Insurance Companies to implement the Claim Components software application.
USAble Life (a subsidiary of USAble Corporation) has signed with Optical Image Technology, Inc., to receive Opticals suite of electronic document management products that will provide a seamless, integrated solution for the sharing and exchange of information.
South Carolina Farm Bureau Mutual Insurance Co. has selected Jacada Ltd. and its Jacada Interface Server to provide a graphical user interface for multiple mainframe applications. The new browser interface will be available for internal users and at agencies across the state.
Medical Mutual Insurance of Maine, a medical malpractice insurer, has extended its dealings with Delphi Technology Inc. to include the OASIS Policy, Billing/Financial, and Risk Management systems. Medical Mutual previously used the OASIS Claims system and now has the entire OASIS suite from Delphi.
To reach HIPAA compliance, Arkansas Blue Cross Blue Shield is replacing dakota imagings Electronic Services Bulletin Board System with dakotas Network Express eHealth Platform. The new system provides a gateway between healthcare provider systems and Arkansas Blue Cross Blue Shield host systems.
Security Financial Life Insurance Co. has selected Apex Data Systems newest product, Geronimo, an individual and group insurance administration solution. Apex will provide knowledge transfer, consulting, and maintenance services.
Four property and casualty insurers have reached licensing agreements with Computer Science Corporation (CSC) to receive its software applications. The insurers include Kemper Insurance Companies, Georgia Farm Bureau Mutual Insurance Co., Southern States Insurance Exchange, and The Insurance Professionals. Kemper is using CSCs S3+ Rating Processor Tool. Georgia Farm Bureau is implementing the billing and collections, and client components of S3+. Southern States and The Insurance Professionals are utilizing components of the POINT E-Business Suite.
General Casualty Insurance Companies has announced plans to use the Fiserv AIS Claims Workstation system to streamline claims processing at its home and branch offices. The solution is offered by Fiserv Advanced Insurance Solutions, a unit of Fiserv, Inc.
The Insurance Corporation of Barbados Limited has signed a licensing agreement with Sirius Financial Systems to use its Sirius for Underwriting software. Sirius is making serious inroads in the Caribbean. This is the fifth sale of a Sirius system in the region.
Haggerty Classic Insurance has selected Bridium and its Claims3 software. Haggerty will be receiving a Web-enabled, automated claims processing application.
Columbia Insurance Group has enlisted AQS, Inc., as a partner for its V3 Galileo product, a commercial-lines policy administration system. The new system will eliminate delays in the policy underwriting process and improve customer retention and satisfaction.
AXA Corporate Solutions Insurance, the global risk entity of AXA, has selected BEA Systems, Inc., and its BEA WebLogic Enterprise platform to standardize the development and deployment of its new information system.
