Your memories of school may be tainted by the teacher who made you sit in the front of the class, or the phys ed instructor who would not let you stand in a group off to the side with your friends. But in all likelihood most of what you remember are the things you did and said with your friends, your peers not what your Calculus I instructor said on the second day of class.
Peer-to-peer is one of the best ways to learn what you need to know and learn it fast. This year, TechDEC offers expanded learning and networking opportunities for the insurance and financial services industry in a specially-designed Pre-Conference Bonus Day on September 12. The TechDEC pre-conference events will feature Roundtable Discussions in the morning beginning at 9 a.m. and Technology Demonstrations in the afternoon beginning at 1 p.m.
All roundtable discussions will be introduced by presentations from technology companies, including Results International on outsourcing, INSTEC on Enterprise Policy Processing, Castek on claims, and Selectica on e-business. Also presenting introductions for the roundtable discussions at the ACESCLA Conference, being held concurrently with TechDEC, are: Panasonic Computer Solutions, DMA Insurance Housing Assistants, and Visibillity.
