Fineos Corporation will be supplying Fortis with a 500-seat allocation of its multi-channel intake and claims management system, Fineos Disability. Its designed to enable Fortis to migrate its claims management process to new, customer-focused workflow system, automating relationship, contact, and workflow management within the Fortis Disability claims environment including contact by fax, phone, snail mail, or e-mail.
InsureZone formed a strategic relationship with National City Insurance Group. Under the agreement, InsureZone will provide access to insurance products designed for small businesses, so customers interested in coverage can contact a National City small-business banking officer or a member of the NCIG sales force. The companies have contemplated that this referral program will be followed later this year by the launch of a private-label Web site to which small business customers can link through National Citys Web site, according to InsureZone.
Commercial-insurance marketplace Acordia has entered into an agreement with ConfirmNet to provide the latters CertificatesNow service to branches and commercial clients. This will allow Acordia to offer its business clients a way of streamlining certificate workflows in an application service provider environment.
Guaranteed Quotes has become the first brokerage firm to use e-Nables Insurance e-Nable to speed the life-insurance, disability, and long-term care underwriting process. DataLifewhich has a strategic alliance with e-Nablewill provide the company with a Web-based system for submitting, tracking and storing information.
Nevada General Insurance Company selected Applied Systems Diamond System to handle its real-time rating, underwriting, issuance, and billing.
Things have been busy at Genelco Software Solutions (a division of Liberty Insurance Services). Universal Life Insurance Company licensed Genelcos Health Benefit Management System (HBMS) to process claims and administer coverage for individual and group health insurance for 500 customer groups covered by Universal Life. North Carolina Mutual Life Insurance Company licensed the companys Benefit Administration Plus (BAR), a billing- and collection-administration software for individual and group health insurance plans. And Fort Dearborn Life Insurance Company (FDL) licensed the companys GroupWeb, which will allow FDL customers to view and service their accounts via the Internet.
Swiss Re has contracted to use eReinsure.coms online platform for reinsurance negotiation. The carrier expects to more effectively manage the reinsurance process so that we can better serve our clients.
