CPCU Announces January Workshops

NU Online News Service, Dec. 30, 3:20 p.m. EST?The Chartered Property Casualty Underwriters Society announced two workshops to be offered in Wisconsin on Jan. 16 for both members and nonmembers.

The morning workshop, led by R. Bryan Tilden, is titled "Tips, Tricks and Traps of the CGL."

The seminar will discuss the history of the CGL policy, offer tips on understanding the coverage, identify tricks for using endorsements to structure policy coverages, examine traps of unexpected exclusions, and discuss the coverage that commercial insureds expect, according to the Malvern, Pa.-based CPCU Society.

The afternoon workshop, also led by Mr. Tilden, is titled "Hidden Coverages." The seminar will discuss hidden coverages found in various policies that have been discovered during litigation. It will identify surprises that can help and hurt customers and explain which personal and commercial policies are changing because of these discoveries, according to the CPCU Society.
