Chris Giles Named Chubb Europe CEO
NU Online News Service, Nov. 22, 11:27 a.m. EST?Chris Giles has been appointed president and chief executive officer of Chubb Insurance Company of Europe, based in London, the company said.
Mr. Giles was previously head of Chubb's Asia Pacific region, based in Singapore.
Mr. Giles, a British national, succeeds Joel D. Aronchick, who has been promoted to the role of director of Chubb's international operations, with responsibility for Europe, Asia, Latin America, Canada and Bermuda, the company said.
Chubb said Mr. Aronchick would return to the company's worldwide headquarters in Warren, N.J., following almost five years in the London-based role.
"We are extremely pleased to welcome Chris Giles back to Europe," said Mr. Aronchick. "His experience and proven success in Asia make him uniquely qualified to do this job. He has the knowledge and leadership abilities to continue to move the European operation ahead."
