PIA Pres. Menicucci Resigns For Health Reasons

NU Online News Service, Oct. 9, 2:25 p.m. EST?Bruno Menicucci has resigned as president of the National Association of Professional Insurance Agents eight days after assuming office, due to health reasons, the organization announced today.

Mr. Menicucci of Reno, Nev. recently underwent open-heart surgery, PIA said.

As a result of Mr. Menicucci's resignation, PIA National President-elect Carl G. Stoecklin, of Cincinnati, Ohio immediately assumes the presidency of PIA.

"It is with sadness that I must succeed Bruno. I wish him a quick return to good health and pray for his continued recuperation," said Mr. Stoecklin.

PIA, based in Alexandria, Va. is a national trade association that represents member insurance agents and their employees who sell and service all kinds of insurance, but specialize in coverage of automobiles, homes and businesses.
