Marsh Buys Rockefeller Risk Advisors
NU Online News Service, Oct. 4, 11:42 a.m. EST?Marsh Inc., the New York City-based insurance broker, announced the acquisition today of Rockefeller Risk Advisors Inc., formerly a subsidiary of the Rockefeller Family Office.
No terms for the transaction were announced.
Rockefeller, established in 1985 in New York, arranges insurance and provides related consulting services for high net worth individuals and small commercial enterprises, Marsh said.
Karen Horn, head of Marsh Global Private Client Services, said the acquisition broadens the broker's role in providing services to family offices and the specialized service in art collections.
Steven Pincus, formerly president of Rockefeller Risk Advisors, will head the new department within Marsh's Private Client Services practice.
The Rockefeller employees will be relocated to Marsh's office in New York City. Marsh is a member of the Marsh and McLennan Companies.
