Brokers See Opportunities In Hard Market

There is no way to avoid the obvious–insurance premiums are up substantially and risk managers are retaining more risk in the face of the hardening market. However, brokers for large commercial accounts say their focus is not to merely be the bearer of bad news, but to find the best possible solution to their clients coverage needs.

Whether the risk is in a global or mid-market account, it is clear to brokers that they are facing a very challenging period, but one filled with opportunities for intermediaries whose expertise, imagination and contacts can make the difference for buyers between a smooth renewal and a very rough ride indeed.
