Thazar Solutions Corp. Is Acquired

Corp. Details of the deal were not disclosed.
Thazar Solutions, based in Overland Park, Kan., is a provider of business intelligence and analytic software for the property-casualty insurance industry.
The acquisition of Thazar Solutions' assets includes INSsight, a business intelligence and management information system exclusively for the p-c insurance industry, said Skywire.
Tobat is based in Dallas and Skywire in Frisco, Texas
Thazar's INSsight portfolio is composed of eight applications that allow companies to manage and analyze business-critical data across operating segments, then make informed decisions aimed at improving current and future profitability.
Patrick Brandt, founder and chief executive officer of Skywire, said, "P&C companies have an immediate need for technology that allows them to easily access, analyze and use their data in more efficient and intelligent ways."
He said Thazar Solutions' data model and business intelligence technology can be used by p-c companies to "realize the benefits of reduced costs, increased profits, and improved customer relationships within 12 months."
"Thazar Solutions' business intelligence offerings fit well with Skywire Software's Insurance Suite," said Thomas Chesbrough, executive vice president of Thazar.
He added that, "With Skywire Software's added resources, operational support and experienced talent, we will be able to continue to build and improve our applications, enabling insurers to more precisely analyze their lines of business and capitalize on trends."
Customers of Thazar Solutions' technology include AXA Re, First Insurance of Hawaii, Unitrin Property and Casualty, and U.S. Risk Insurance Group, said Skywire.
Skywire Software will manage Thazar Solutions as a separate operating unit, and Thazar's products and services will be available through Skywire Software's Insurance Suite, the company said.
