Mass. Company Expands To Conn.
NU Online News Service, Sept. 3, 11:05 a.m. EST?Bunker Hill Insurance Co. announced it has received a license to operate in Connecticut from the Connecticut Department of Insurance.
The company said it expects to begin to issue policies that would take effect in early January of 2003.
Bunker Hill, based in Boston, is a member of the Plymouth Rock Companies, also based in Boston. Plymouth Rock Assurance Corp., the company said, is the ninth-largest auto insurer in Massachusetts. The company has written auto insurance in Connecticut since March and recently surpassed the $1 million mark in written premium.
