Agent Groups Set CE Course Lineup
NU Online News Service, Sept. 18, 9:26 a.m. EST?Four Northeast agent associations have announced educational programs for the new semester year and beyond.
The Professional Insurance Agents Associations of Connecticut, New Hampshire, New Jersey and New York, a collective trade association for independent agents based in Glenmont, N.Y., said the individual associations will offer courses through seminars, programs and conferences.
The schooling will provide continuing education credits, fundamentals of insurance courses for new agency employees, and computer-based training programs.
Starting the season, PIACT Education Expo will begin today, and focus on such topics as: "A Principal Decision: Tech Trends, Weakness and Opportunity;" "Ethics and Compliance Issues;" and "Avoiding an E&O Odyssey."
On Oct. 3 and 4, PIANJ will host its OktoberEdFest. Some topics to be covered include E&O strategies and studies, personal injury, commercial property, and other topics of interest to insurance professionals.
The association is also offering a "Fundamentals of Insurance" certificate program for new agency employees. The program covers fundamentals in personal and commercial lines or both.
In response to the increasing demand for e-training, the association said it is offering online courses. In conjunction with MindLeaders, the association is making available an extensive library of ready-to-use computer-based training and self-study products.
