New Product Helps Agents Go Online
NU Online News Service, Aug. 15, 10:06 a.m. EST?Business Web Builders has announced the release of the Insurance Web Wizard, a new program designed to help insurance agents build a stronger presence on the Internet.
According to Des Moines, Iowa-based Business Web Builders, agents can create customized Web sites in a matter of minutes with just a few clicks via this program.
"Large commercial consumers down to America's smallest Main Street businesses want to know their insurance agent is up-to-speed on cyberspace liability issues," says Keith Snow, creator of the product and president of Business Web Builders. "Yet, only 42 percent of independent agents in the U.S. have a Web site presence."
Mr. Snow said for members of the industry, "A Web presence adds legitimacy to your business. Without a Web presence, it's certainly harder to assure your customers that your agency is equipped to consult them on technology."
The Insurance Web Wizard, an online program available at "http://www.insurancedashboard.com", takes agents through a series of questions about their agencies and uses the information to build a customized Web site, the company said. Agents can select the pages they'd like for their Web sites, such as the company's history, products and services, or testimonials from key clients.
The product also allows agents to include a company logo and agent photographs. The Insurance Web Wizard has four professionally-designed templates and eight color schemes, giving agents 32 design options, the company noted.
Once the product's online questionnaire is complete, agents can preview their sites and rerun the wizard if they'd like to make changes to some of their original answers.
"The process takes about fifteen minutes," said Mr. Snow. If agents are satisfied with their site, they can purchase it for a flat fee of $500 with a $35 monthly hosting fee.
