Kibble & Prentice Expansion

NU Online News Service, Aug. 30, 11:01 a.m. EST?Seattle-based insurance broker Kibble & Prentice announced its third acquisition this summer, expanding the firm to 160 employees.
The firm announced that P. Robert Brown Inc., a 30-year-old Seattle-based firm, has joined the Kibble & Prentice office bringing five employees and 500 clients into the firm.
In July, Kibble & Prentice acquired Rourke & Bell, of Bellevue, Wash., a 95-year-old family owned agency, bringing more than 1,500 clients to the firm. In August, the firm announced the acquisition of Axelson & Associates, based in Seattle, which expanded the firm's activity in maritime and transportation insurance markets.
Arnie Prentice, Kibble & Prentice chairman and chief executive officer, said the acquisitions are part of a firm strategy to remain independent and provide a broad range of financial services to its Pacific Northwest customers.
The company is a single source provider of products and services in property-casualty insurance, employee benefits, retirement plan services, estate and business planning, executive benefits, and investment consulting.
Kibble and Prentice said the firm's premium total is now more than $230 million.
