International Insurance Group Adds To Board

NU Online News Service, July 15, 1:24 p.m. EST? Five new members have been elected to the board of the International Insurance Society, Inc., the group said.

The new additions are, Edmund "Ted" Kelly, president and chief executive officer, Liberty Mutual Insurance Companies, Boston; Stephen McGill, chief executive, Jardine Lloyd Thompson Group plc, and JLT Risk Solutions Ltd., United Kingdom; Norman Sorensen, president, Principal International, Inc., Des Moines, Iowa; James Dowd, president and CEO, Fairfax Inc., Stamford, Conn. and Takeo Inokuchi, chairman, president and CEO of Mitsui Marine and Fire Insurance Co., Ltd., Japan.

The International Insurance Society is a nonprofit group of 800 senior executives and academics in insurance from 90 nations. Based in New York, the Society organizes educational meetings around the world, sponsors research and scholarships and confers the Insurance Hall of Fame awards.
