NAII: U.S. Moves End Mexican Truck Fear
NU Online News Service, June 3, 11:46 a.m. EST?Federal authorities have taken a series of steps to alleviate longstanding worries about the safety of Mexican trucks entering the United States under NAFTA treaty provisions, an insurance company group says.
David M. Golden, director of commercial lines for the National Association of Independent Insurers, said NAII believes that the U.S. Department of Transportation's rules have "crossed the finish line" in addressing insurers' safety concerns regarding the North American Free Trade Agreement.
