Kansas Logs $24 Million In Crop Claims
NU Online News Service, June 25, 2:56 p.m. EST?Drought has led about 2,800 Kansas farmers to file insurance claims this year for crop damage amounting to $24 million, according to Compu-Weather, a meteorological consulting firm in Hopewell Junction, N.Y.
Compu-Weather said the dollar figure for claims will go considerably higher once the backlog of claims is completed.
