Technology Decisions Names New Editor
NU Online News Service, May 9, 10:15 a.m. EST--Sharon Schwartzman has been appointed editor-in-chief of Technology Decisions, The National Underwriter Company's monthly technology magazine for the insurance and financial services industry.
Ms. Schwartzman replaces Andrew Kantor, who is no longer with the company.
Ms. Schwartzman's background includes positions as editor-in-chief of Wall Street & Technology magazine, managing editor of Success magazine, and founding editor-in-chief of KPMG's online business news service, Consumer Markets Insider.
"The mission of Technology Decisions is to deliver the one-stop technical expertise and high-leverage insight into business strategies that will help boost performance in today's complex insurance marketplace," said Ms. Schwartzman.
"I am thrilled to be a part of Technology Decisions. The magazine is a critical resource, not only for implementing the powerful business tactics needed now, but for learning to thrive on the edges of change to come. We can no longer rely on established paradigms," she added.
"Sharon's experience in leading a technology publication for a business audience will serve her well in this role," said Peggy Walker, vice president and group publisher of The National Underwriter Company's Magazine & Conference Group. "Additionally, she brings a strong editorial management background in both print and online publications."
Effective May 28, Ms. Schwartzman will be responsible for content in all Technology Decisions products, including Technology Decisions magazine, the Technology Decisions Exposition & Conference (TechDEC), the Tech Central Online Community, and Technology Decisions eNews bi-weekly electronic newsletter. She will be located in the company's Hoboken, N.J., office.
