Riskclick Adds Certificates Module

NU Online News Service, May 6, 12:10 p.m. EST?Riskclick, a provider of collaborative Web services software to the risk management and insurance industry, has announced an addition to its offerings: the Certificates Module.

According to New York-based Riskclick, many insurance programs require the issuance, delivery and recording of numerous certificates of insurance. The traditional paper-based process, however, is both time consuming and expensive, and failure to deliver accurately and on-time can have serious consequences.

Riskclick said its Certificates Module enables a broker, insurer or risk manager to quickly set up certificate instructions under any program and issue certificates reliably and efficiently. The system will either e-mail or fax the certificates to the certificate holders.

The Certificates Module integrates with Riskclick's other Web services for risk management, the company said.

In addition, the company noted, the Certificates Module delivers the following key benefits:

? Enables teams (even if members are located in different offices) to access the certificate manager and generate certificates.

? Allows a broker to authorize a client to self administer certificate issuance.

? Significantly reduces the cost of certificate production by eliminating paper.

? Supports both industry standard (ACORD) and custom certificates.

? Automatically creates a directory of certificate holders for re-issuance and renewal.

? Routinely creates a reliable record of every certificate issued.

Gordon Surbey, president of Riskclick North America, said: "The Riskclick solution is unique because it delivers all the collaborative benefits of a Web-based certificates solution as part of a broader set of risk management Web services.."

He said he expects that "use of this module will reduce the cost of risk and free up key people for more valuable work."

Riskclick delivers software and services to risk management and insurance people, enabling them to securely collaborate and exchange information regardless of the constraints and incompatibilities of their existing computer systems, the company added.
