Pundits Slated For IIABA Conference

NU Online News Service, May 24, 11:55 a.m. EST?Political columnist Mark Shields and Weekly Standard editor Fred Barnes are scheduled to debate public policy issues during a political roundtable at the Independent Insurance Agents & Brokers of America's upcoming New Orleans InfoXchange.

Mr. Shields writes for the Washington Post and moderates CNN's "The Capital Gang," as well as hosting "Evans, Novak, Hunt & Shields," also on CNN. In addition, he serves as an analyst for The Newshour with Jim Lehrer on PBS.

Mr. Barnes, founder of The Weekly Standard, is a host of FOX News' "The Beltway Boys," as well as chief correspondent on PBS' "National Desk," and moderator of "Issues in the News" and "What's the Story" on The Voice of America radio network.

Mr. Shields and Mr. Barnes are set to appear with IIABA Chief Executive Officer Robert A. Rusbult, during the conference closing general session Sept. 24.
