Philip V. Bancroft will join the ACE Group of Companies as chief financial officer of ACE Limited, effective immediately. Jealousy watch: Mr. Bancroft will be based in Bermuda.
Things were busy at Conseco, which announced that Julio A. Barea and Carol Bellamy were elected as two new members of its board of directors. Conseco also announced that it named Charles H. Chuck Cremens as president and CEO of its subsidiary, Conseco Finance. Cremens succeeds Bruce Crittenden who resigned to pursue other interests.
USAA has announced its board of directors has appointed Robert G. Bob Davis to the position of chairman-elect of the association. Davis will also continue as chief executive officer; he succeeds General Robert T. Herres as chairman.
Transamerica Occidental Life Insurance Company named Cherri Divin senior vice president of the newly created annuity products unit of the Transamerica Insurance & Investment Group (TIIG). Shell oversee annuity product development and pricing and will be responsible for managing TIIGs relationships with special accounts.
Stuart A. Hall has decided to step down as chief executive officer of Liberty Northwest Insurance Corporation. Hell be succeeded by Tony Ferronato.
GE Employers Reinsurance Corporation named Nicholas D. Gassman vice president of sales for its specialty insurance group.
Healthaxis added Adam J. Gutstein as a director. That is all.
PacifiCare Health Systems announced that Joseph S. Konowiecki has assumed the fulltime position of executive vice president and general counsel for the company. It also promoted 44-year-old Rich Roge to senior vice president of commercial sales, marketing, and product development.
Insurance Data Systems e-commerce subsidiary MarketScout, announced that executive vice president Krista Tankersley, has been named to the board of the Certified Insurance Service Representatives, where she will serve six years.
Zurich North America has named Richmond Waller to the position of executive vice president, e-business, where he will help lead thoughts and strategize the companys e-business initiatives.
Tony Wilkey has joined CNA Life as senior marketing officer for CNAs individual life, long-term care, and annuity business. Hell oversee the business marketing, product development, and distribution divisions for both Life and LTC. Technology Decisions has learned that he will report directly to Susan McGory, chief operating officer of CNA Life and LTC.
