NU Online News Service, April 23, 11:37 a.m. EST?Chicago-based insurance broker Aon today announced a quarterly dividend payment of 22.5 cents per common share payable on May 15 to stockholders of record as of May 2.
The firm reported this week that it anticipates reporting first-quarter earnings per share of between 56-to-59 cents. The results are helped by a one-time pretax income item of $48 million resulting from a tax settlement. Without the settlement, Aon said, share earnings would range between 45-to-48 cents.
The firm plans to release its first-quarter results on April 30.
