Vista Rolls Out Transportation Division
NU Online News Service, Jan. 4, 11:47 a.m. EST?Wholesale insurance broker Vista Insurance Partners of San Antonio, Texas, said it has launched a new division specializing in trucking and commercial auto insurance.
"This new division moves us closer to our goal of being the wholesale broker of choice,'' said James H. Levine, Vista's president and chief executive officer.
With a special expertise in long haul and intermediate haul trucking, the nationwide division will have brokerage, binding authorities and reinsurance facilities.
Leading the new division is David Love, executive vice president and national director of transportation and commercial automobile for Vista. Previously Love was regional manager of CNA Motor Transport Specialist Unit and has over 16 years as an underwriter and manager with CNA and its subsidiaries.
Mr. Love said, "Vista is positioned to meet the challenge faced by agents writing larger pieces of business.''
Creation of the new division follows Vista's recent expansion into the Southeastern U.S. by opening an office in North Palm Beach, Fla.
Mr. Levine said the company plans to continue its growth by attracting high impact professionals, representing the best carriers and working with agents needing placements for middle-market companies and those with complex nationwide risks.
