Calif. Insurance Lobby Groups Merge
NU Online News Service, Jan. 29, 11:13 a.m. EST ?The California Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors and the Professional Insurance Agents Group announced they have joined lobbying interests to form the Coalition of California Insurance Professionals.
The two associations, with headquarters in Sacramento, will represent more than 30,000 insurance professionals. CAIFA represents approximately 6,000 agents in California and PIA more than 20,000 in California, Nevada, Arizona and New Mexico, the groups said in a statement.
Shari McHugh, formerly lobbyist of the PIA Group, will become senior vice president of CCIP, effective Feb. 1.
