AMS Services (www.ams-services.com) has released PS4 Plus with hopes it will be the most robust and easy-to-use professional survey, submission, and sales system in the industry.
According to AMS, PS4 Plus incorporates the knowledge of insurance professionals to help maximize commercial sales objectives. The company claims its product gives "instant expertise" for every step of the commercial sales cycle.
PS4 Plus development manager Kim Smith explained the product recognizes unique sets of risk exposures and activities associated with every kind of business; insurance related information is created for each of the more than 600 categories of business supported in the product. Sales tools contained within the program include information unique to the category selected.
Smith also said the product is primarily designed to assist with insurance sales and not account servicing, such as policy changes and claims handling. The product was designed to follow the natural sales cycle of most commercial business accounts. That includes the initial survey of a business to determine its risk exposures and how best to protect against loss, submitting the survey results to one or more insurance carriers to obtain the best possible quote, presenting the agent's recommendations to the prospect, and completing the sales transaction and all necessary paperwork and documentation to bind coverage for the new client.
"When surveying a new prospect, the better an agent understands the operations of a business, the better he is able to determine what risk exposures may be present and how best to handle these potential problems," Smith said. To handle this, PS4 Plus's features include an industry overview, a risk survey questionnaire, a coverage checklist, and a rating worksheet.
"PS4 Plus...creates proposals in seconds," Smith said. "The program comes with more than 40 basic proposal templates that have been designed to maximize sales presentations. [It] includes a transfer feature whereby data that is contained within individual ACORD submission files can be automatically transferred to assembled proposals to create finished presentations."
Smith said users can direct PS4 Plus to enhance presentations by including definitions for more than 600 coverage items. And because the program uses Microsoft Word for editing, proposal templates and transferred data and definitions can be further modified.
