Inspire Insurance Solutions (www.nspr.com) reworked TransFluent (www.transfluent .com), its proprietary universal data translation solution product, and souped it up with XML capabilities. The application serves as an enterprise-wide translator tool and works across multiple platforms including mainframes, AS400s, Unix systems, Vaxes, and Windows-based servers.
XML enables TransFluent to automatically import document type definitions (DTDs), eliminating the need to rekey or redefine data. The program's GUI allows viewing of the complete transaction process without rifling through lines of code.
"Downloading data from company legacy systems is cumbersome," said John Pergande, chairman and CEO of Inspire. "By incorporating XML capabilities, TransFluent now translates data from multiple formats on diverse platforms into XML for either real-time or batch mode."
