Advanced cloud services from AWS and Microsoft Azure are just one of the selling points of CoreVelocity™, a new product from EIS Group, the San Francisco-based provider of core systems and digital solutions for insurers. Avis shares surged recently upon news that Waymo, the self-driving car unit of Alphabet Inc., has reached an agreement for Avis Budget Group Inc. to manage its fleet of autonomous vehicles. This is reportedly the first such deal in a fledgling field that's "exploding with partnerships," according to Bloomberg News.

Arbella Insurance has selected IVANS, IVANS, a division of Applied Systems, to automate servicing through the independent agency channel. Arbella will benefit from a single exchange to increase ease of doing business through IVANS Claims Download with their agency partners, ensuring access to the most up-to-date claims information in the management system.
Applied Systems also recently announced that Henry O. Baker Insurance Group selected Applied Epic, the cloud-based agency management system, to automate and standardize operations and provide a single view of customers across all lines of business. As part of their digital agency strategy, the agency will also integrate Applied CSR24, Applied Mobile and Applied Performance Management to optimize its omnichannel customer service strategy and gain data-driven insight.
Vermont Mutual has selected InsuranceNow™ from Guidewire to modernize its technology platform. The company plans to simultaneously implement InsuranceNow's policy administration, claims management, and billing functionality, by line of business in three phases, beginning with its dwelling fire line first, followed by its personal lines – auto, homeowners, and umbrella – and concluding with its commercial lines of business.
Euler Hermes, a leading global trade credit insurer, has announced a partnership with the fintech credit risk analysis company, CRiskCo. With a focus on revolutionizing factoring, trade and supply chain finance, CRiskCo uses state-of-the art artificial intelligence (AI) credit analysis and fraud detection processes.
