Chicago-based R-T Specialty LLC (RT Specialty), the wholesale brokerage unit of Ryan Specialty Group LLC, announced today the acquisition of the assets of Countrywide Brokerage, a wholesale insurance brokerage based in Edmonds, Wash.
Countrywide Brokerage was established in 1995, and has focused on commercial and personal lines markets for hard-to-place risks, specialty products and high net worth homeowners in the western United States.
Terms of the transaction were not disclosed, but Countrywide Brokerage President Susan Brennan and her team will join RT Specialty, which has an office in Seattle.
“Sue has built a superior broker team and binding authority platform that will complement our existing Seattle office and in the Northwest,” said Timothy W. Turner, RT Specialty president and CEO. “We are delighted to have Sue and her professional team join us at RT Specialty.”
