AccuWeather.com has put together an excellent snapshot of statistics related to the 2012 Atlantic hurricane season. (Click on the infographic to go to the site.)
The season produced 19 named storms, 10 hurricanes and only one major hurricane.
The 2012 season will no doubt be remembered for Superstorm Sandy, which will likely rank as the second costliest hurricane ever to hit the U.S.–only behind 2005′s Hurricane Katrina–although Sandy wasn't technically a hurricane at landfall.
