The Workers' Compensation Institute (WCI) has formed as an outgrowth of the Florida Workers' Compensation Institute (FWCI) to provide the workers' compensation community across the country with news and resources.
WCI also becomes the organizing sponsor of the annual Workers' Compensation Educational Conference (WCEC), which was previously sponsored by FWCI. WCEC is now in its 67th year, and is held every August in Orlando, Fla.
As part of its initial launch, WCI has created a website and has Twitter account and LinkedIn accounts.
The website contains state-specific and national workers' compensation news and feature articles targeted toward claims professionals, members of the legal and medical communities, insurers, brokers, agents, employers and employees.
FWCI will remain in existence and continue its Florida focus under the WCI umbrella.
