The Reinsurance Association of America has named Pierre Ozendo,chief executive officer of Swiss Re America, as its boardchairman.

Mr. Ozendo was elected to the post Tuesday at RAA's annualmeeting in Washington.

Michael Morrill, chief executive officer and president, AXIS U.SReinsurance Company, was elected board vice chairman, RAA said.

Anthony Kuczinski, president and CEO, Munich RE, was electedsecretary-treasurer.

At the same time, RAA members elected John Ehinger, presidentand chief operating officer of Willis Re and Bryon Ehrhart,president of Aon Benfield, as chairman and co-vice chairman of itsCouncil of Reinsurers and Brokers subgroup.

Mr. Ozendo also was named to the RAA executive committee. Alsonamed to the executive committer were Jacques Bonneau, presidentand CEO, ACE Tempest Re Group; James Few, managing director, AspenRe; and Henry Klecan, president and CEO, SCOR Re.

Other members of the executive board will include AnthonyKuczinski, president and CEO, Munich RE; Franklin (Tad) Montross,chairman and CEO, General Re; Michael Morrill, chief executiveofficer and president, AXIS U.S. Reinsurance Company; JohnRathgeber, vice chairman, Arch Re; James Veghte, CEO, XL ReAmerica; and Theodore (Tad) Walker, president and CEO, PartnerRe.

As CEO of Swiss Re America Corporation, Mr. Ozendo leads thecompany's client markets operations in the Americas region. Mr.Ozendo joined Swiss Re Group in 1995 as CEO of its Union Resubsidiary.
