The Connecticut Insurance Department published a bulletin informing casualty adjusters and motor vehicle physical damage (MVPD) appraisers who received their licenses after October 1, 2024, of the new expiration date.

Existing licenses have an expiration date of June 30, 2025. Licenses issued on or after October 1, 2024, have an expiration date of two years after the last day of the licensee’s birth month that preceded the date the license was issued.

For example, if the license was issued in March 2024, it will expire on June 30, 2025, no matter when the licensee was born. If the license was issued in December 2024 and the licensee was born in May, it would expire on May 31, 2026. If the license was issued in March 2025 and the licensee was born in June, it would expire on June 30, 2027.
