The California Insurance Commissioner published a bulletin to expand the current moratorium on cancellations and nonrenewals due to wildfire risk. The Department of Insurance has been monitoring the fires and updating the ZIP codes in which the moratorium is in effect.

ZIP codes within the perimeter of the Hughes Fire have been added. The updated ZIP codes are as follows:

The Commissioner had also previously asked all insurers with pending non-renewals or cancellations for property located near the wildfires to pause the non-renewal or cancellation for up to six months–this also applies to the newly added ZIP codes.
