Georgia loss - insured runs a cafe/juice bar in a leased space where the building was struck by a vehicle. The building was damaged and the insured's business cannot re-open until repairs are complete. The insured has some perishable inventory which was not damaged from the loss itself, but will soon expire due to being unable to reopen the business. We do not feel the expiration and spoilage of the food would be covered but wish to get input.
The vehicle did not damage the perishable stock, and from the information provided it does not appear that the loss of it is due to any loss of or change in power or temperature. It is a consequential loss, and as such would not be covered by the policy.
