California Insurance Commissioner Ricardo Lara announced an insurance support workshop for residents impacted by the recent wildfires. The free workshop will assist insureds with understanding their policies, going through the claims process, and any other information they may need.

Consumers can call 1-800-927-4357 to schedule a one-on-one appointment with a Department of Insurance expert to discuss their specific insurance needs. They should bring a copy of their insurance policy, dec page, and other relevant documents. The workshop will take place at Santa Monica College on January 18th and 19th. Walk-ins are accepted and will be served on a first-come first-served basis.
