The Florida Department of Financial Services Division of Consumer Services published a press release announcing the deployment of four Hurricane Insurance Villages following Hurricane Helene and Hurricane Milton.

The villages will provide policyholders a chance to meet representatives of their insurance carriers in person. The representatives are available to answer questions and to help file claims. The villages will focus only on insurance issues–staff from other agencies will not be in attendance.

Policyholders should bring any documentation they can, including an official ID, information on their insurance policy, pictures or documentation of the property damaged as a result of the hurricanes, repair estimates, and any other relevant information.
