Can you please advise on Garagekeepers coverage for a auto repair shop if someone were to drop their vehicle off on the insured's premises after business hours and call the insured the next morning to give instructions to work on their vehicle; would the insured be responsible if something were to happen to that person's auto under the garagekeepers coverage since the person did not make prior arrangements with insured and the insured did not have prior knowledge of the vehicle being onsite until the next day when the business opened?

It is customary for auto repair service operations to accept vehicles onto their premises for service. Unless the insured has the premises closed off after hours, with signs posted and entry physically prohibited, then it would be legal for the customer to leave their vehicle on premises at any time. This would meet the definition of "customer's auto" since once left on the insured's premises, it is in their care, custody and control.
