We have the following general question seeking your thoughts on its applicability as a WC claim vs GL. Information from what we know to date:
Injured employee was attending a celebration for employees for winning a culinary award. Insured is a major Hotel chain which was having their ceremony at one of the insured's pool sites. Injured party dove into the shallow end and sustained neck injury and then surgery. Currently we do not have the medical or exact injury and unfortunately this is late notice reporting of the incident. Alcohol was being served a t this event and unaware if this is a factor of the injured employee.
Claimant is one of the hotel Chef's and we assume he was not on duty but just attending the award celebration.
