Very quick question for you, we had an insured who recently bought a Mercedes sprinter van and it is a diesel, well you guessed it, they accidentally put gasoline in it during a recent trip. The vehicle had to be towed to a shop, fuel lines drained and prepped. He asked me if there would be coverage for this event and I advised, most likely yes for the towing and labor, but no on the damage or bills for the error of filling up with the wrong fuel. I do not see where that would be a covered cause of loss. Would you agree with this? Thanks in advance for the help!

This is a direct and accidental loss, and is an other than collision claim. There is no exclusion for putting the wrong type of fuel into the vehicle. When you look at the policy it is open perils; it simply defines collision and other than collision, and lists the exclusions. The loss should be covered.
