Caulking on RV roof deteriorated allowing water damage to interior of RV. Does the exclusion of wear and tear exclude coverage for this loss?
Kentucky Subscriber
The caulking is the wear and tear; the water damage due to the leak is not. The wear and tear exclusion is preceded by the language "Damage due and confined to" the wear and tear is confined to the deteriorated caulking. The subsequent water damage is direct damage to the vehicle, and should be covered. Water damage is not normal wear and tear of a vehicle.
