Fraud of the Week
Arson – Minnesota
Amount – Unknown
Charges have been filed against a man for his involvement in a fire at a Christian outreach center. The man is charged with first-degree arson, insurance fraud and second degree burglary. The initial investigation detected that the fire was started deliberately, and a fingerprint was found on a door handle. The subject stated that two board members had him start the fire since the center would have to shut down unless "something happened" and that they had a lot of fire insurance on the property.
