Three people were sentenced to prison for a series of insurance frauds including chicken left on the stove which led to house fires. They were sentenced and sent to prison for various charges of arson and insurance fraud; terms were thirteen, eight, and one year. All the house fires involved chicken frying on the stove left unattended. The group met with a public adjuster and gave him a ledger with addresses and dates of properties deliberately set on fire for insurance claims.
