A pastor who had been indicted for insurance fraud, arson, and criminal conspiracy died last week prior to appearing in court. He, sadly, passed away due to a heart attack that he suffered at an Alabama hospital. He and his wife turned themselves in on August 3rd and each received one count of first-degree insurance fraud, second-degree arson, and criminal conspiracy.
Original Article: A pastor and his wife have been charged with attempted arson for trying to burn down a church and claiming the insurance money. The fire occurred in January of 2019 and the building that was burned down housed the Longview Institute and Emmanuel Fellowship Church, where the arsonist served as the pastor. The couple owned the church building. The suspects are charged with first-degree insurance fraud, second-degree arson, and criminal conspiracy.
