The Everest Insurance claims medical management group has announced two new medical management solutions for select Everest workers' compensation policyholders: Everest Nurse Triage and Everest Telemed.

Everest and Company Nurse have joined together to offer the Everest Nurse Triage program, giving injured employees immediate access to licensed registered nurses who specialize in workplace injuries. The program streamlines the First Report of Injury process, reducing claim reporting lag time, and advises employees of necessary self‐care or additional medical care, Everest said in a statement.

Everest Telemed, a collaboration between Everest Insurance and Concentra, is available in conjunction with the Everest Nurse Triage Program. Everest said that Everest Telemed is a telemedicine product designed to provide prompt attention for minor medical issues. From easy check‐in to prompt diagnosis and treatment, Everest Telemed uses digital communication to facilitate quick access to a licensed clinician trained in occupational medicine. It is currently available in 24 states, with 13 additional states going live this year, Everest said.

Laura O'Leary, Everest's director of medical management, said, “Our team is dedicated to harnessing the latest technology to provide best‐in‐class service to our insureds. Both the Everest Nurse Triage and Everest Telemed programs are built to ensure our workers' compensation clients receive prompt, convenient, and comprehensive care.”
