Sara Ager is a new partner in the insurance and reinsurance team at McCarthy Denning.
Ms. Ager joined the firm from insurance law firm EC3 Legal.
Ms. Ager has over 20 years of experience, previously working in and for Lloyd's managing agencies, Bermudian reinsurers, MGAs, and brokers, the firm said in a statement.
Ms. Ager has experience in advising, setting up, and securing regulatory/Lloyd's approval on behalf of brokers and MGA businesses. She advises her clients on a variety of matters, including risk management, compliance, regulatory, and commercial issues affecting businesses operating in the insurance industry.
In addition, Ms. Ager assists both existing and new firms to adapt to changing societal and customer needs, as well as advising and leading insurtech businesses to thrive in the established insurance ecosystem.
She specializes in helping businesses to bridge the gap between “front end” commercial ambition and meeting the relevant regulatory and legal requirements. She holds the position of general counsel for the Insuring Women's Futures program.
